Had my first class at teaching digital color and paiting. It was great, had a active and quick learners members, lucky me.

Doing the classes in spanish (my third language lol, but i speak it more fluently than english and has a good demographic volume) maybe i should do classes in english too?

anyway, still need to polish my documentation and try to finish the course and polish it more and make it official. Honestly i'm lucky to have at leat 7 particpants to test lol.

I just hope they won't get burnout, there is a lot of theory and very short time to teach.

Thought I only worked professionally as a graphic designer doing art for products, i got few professional jobs as colorist. But i hope i can teach good information.

Not working there anymore, they using AI for quick money. AI and automation is going to take more job markets not only art. i hope people would understand this. Commercial work they only wants profit, not art, AI won't take art away, but business is not art. :C

I guess she is my mary sue, naive, slow witted and a lack of sense of direction kind of courier elf. I love how her hair bangs became an heart shaped thingy lmao.

i keep changing her in small ways everytime i draw her

she was so smoll lmao, 2020. i like how she grew back again. she wears a trench coat, but is to big for her and it looks like she has a skirt.

2017, i remember when i was so proud of this drawing, pastel colors. everything so high key lol.

2016, my first attempt of coloring in digital tablet. it had so many weird details, like shoulder spikes?

2015, she has a shoulder strap, was more a military design uh. i like how the first drawing she has such a sad expression.

ok. jokes aside. I don't know what to teach, everything i know is on the internet and i swear to dog, my thinking process for rendering are this 3 steps.

I would love to help, but a lot of stuffs are fundamentals that i'm still practicing and learning too. if you ask for a tutorial from me, not a lot i can do. I'm more of a free flowing guy, sometime i want to try something, other times i leave a step or two. i don't have a set of steps while i draw.

i could help if you send me some of the drawings and i give some of my thoughts or some pointers C: i have a discord for that.

If you want to know how i do my color "styling"

i try to limit my color palette in only 3 colors, can be any of them, and then i need more colors i just mix the 3 of them so it feels cohesive. (some time i add different colores aside from the triad for some accents) (Image from: https://thelenslounge.com/triadic-colors-photography/ )

sometime i bitcrush it with posterization, i just like the vibes.

Lighting is very important for me

the higher the contrast, stronger the illusion of shape, of course you have the lighting limitacion, but almost all my drawings are characters in the middle of the void :P

My lighting doesn't always make sense, my personal priority is to make it cool. so the shape could been seen clearly. this is just some drawing, not photography. also shading without a logic could help to heck some AI training lmao.

I use my own simple brushes, the important thing is it can blen with differents colors. I learn to paint with oil, so i have my own way i guess.

anyway, did the interview for design jobs. i don't think nothing will come out of it. after 4 years as a designer i can't get another art job >:C.

Started to do some food delivery in bicycle, to get some money and do some exercise. Honestly a bit lost right now, and honestly i have accepted the fact that art is a hobby and not a job anymore, didn't felt joy from drawing for long time a go, so i thinking i'm going to just get a regular job.

anyway, i'm semi retired, lost jobs to AI. have a interview soon with a company, if i don't get the job i guess i leave arte just as a hobby. which is scary but also somewhat aliviating. drawing just for fan, that sounds nice.

a lot has happened, so took a big break with my socials for half a year? i'm still addicted to it though.
